After the slippage during the past decade, when Netherlands missed multiple international events, the Oranje will be back at Euro 2024, trying to repeat their championship campaign in 1988.
Sitting in sixth in the FIFA rankings, Netherlands easily qualified for the upcoming event in Germany, despite a “0-4” defeat to France in Saint-Denis. However, the home finals of the League of Nations have not gone as smoothly for the Dutch, as they lost to both Croatia and Italy to finish fourth in the European edition.
Scotland
The Tartan Army have qualified for its second straight European championship, as Scotland only lost to Spain in Seville, but offset it with a victory in Glasgow, finishing second in the group.
While the British squad is hopeful to improve on their 2020 campaign, which did net them only one point in three games despite being a host nation, it will require a solid amount of preparation. Facing Germany, Switzerland and Hungary is far from the easiest possible draw, but the 34th world ranked Scotland will be ready for a test.
