Liverpool has a stellar chance of going back on top of the Premier League, but they need a victory against a feisty Brighton & Hove Albion first. A Week 30 clash at Anfield will begin on Sunday, March 31, at 2 PM CET.
Liverpool
While a loss to Manchester United in FA Cup denied the Reds a rare chance to earn a quadruple, they are still in contention for three titles in England and on the road.
Liverpool won the EFL Cup, will face Italian side Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-finals and the Anfield hosts are tied for first in the Premier League as Arsenal still needs to travel to Manchester City. Another helpful fact is that the Reds has only three true road games left in EPL, as they will try and sweep the opposition at home, no matter who they are.
Brighton & Hove Albion
The Seagulls remain as one of the best stories in European soccer due to their playstyle and nature of competitive football, but it is still hard for them to get through a grueling season, when the European competition is involved.
After a crushing loss in Rome to Roma in Europa League, the Brighton squad can now focus on finishing the season strongly. They are only five points behind Manchester United who are sixth, the spot which might give a UEL bid for the next season in case England finishes top-2 in the overall standings for the season and with ten games remaining, it might be possible to catch up.
Prediction ⚽️
Brighton & Hove Albion has not lost to Liverpool in two years, including eliminating the Reds from the FA Cup this season.
Interestingly enough, it will be their first visit to Anfield since the famous “3-3” draw in October of 2022, but Liverpool is a different beast right now. Sportsbooks are confident in a massive victory for the hosts, but we will take them to cover (-1) spread with 1.55 odds 🔥.
