Columbus Crew
Three time MLS champions from Columbus Crew took the “feast or famine” approach to an extreme level in the past few years. 20th, first, 17th, 16th, first again - Crew survived two extra time sessions to win the last season MLS Cup, as they will look to repeat for the first time in their history.
Columbus is undefeated so far in this campaign, earning seven points in three games in MLS, advanced to the quarter finals of CONCACAF Champions Cup over Houston Dynamo, but now they will try and pass the biggest test so far.
New York Red Bulls
Since their debut in MLS in 1996, New York Red Bulls have been generally one of the most successful franchises in the league, only missing playoffs four times. The issue is that they are yet to win either a championship or a cup title, as their trophy case is still empty.
After a run of three Eastern conference wins in four years in the middle of the past decade, New York Red Bulls will look to repeat that feat this season. Club opened the play with seven points in three games and with two games winning streak on the line will travel to Ohio to face off against the reigning champions.
